What is the Middlemist Red Camellia, and why is it so rare?
There exist two surviving specimens of the world's rarest flower called the Middlemist Red Camellia and these are located in the United Kingdom and New Zealand. The flower made its journey to England from China during 1804 under the care of John Middlemist yet the plant faced possible extinction in its home territory because of habitat destruction and continued harvesting.
